Workers in the recession economy are being squeezed even tighter than before. Learn from other workers and activists with unions and workers centers across the South about fighting for collective bargaining and against cuts to crucial public sector jobs during the recession. Learn nitty-gritty skills in workshops and hear from workers who are fighting back at work and in their communities across the South.

- Bringing the collective bargaining work to the international level here and abroad. What is the approach that has been used to address the fight for collective bargaining internationally and how does solidarity with immigrant workers and Black/Brown solidarity address that? (International Worker Justice Campaign, Mexicanos sin Fronteras)
- Building broad labor-community struggles to win legislative & legal strategies within the larger collective bargaining campaign (Virginia Peoples Assembly, Richmond Jobs with Justice)
- How do struggles against program, service, job cuts and layoffs also build the fight for collective bargaining? (CAAMWU, UCW-CWA)
- What is collective bargaining: what does it mean at the worksite and how the fight for collective bargaining must be anchored & led by the the rank and file. (ILA Local 1422, UE 150)
